2 dead, 8 others injured, police say

Two men were killed and eight other people injured in a shooting in downtown Minneapolis early Saturday, police said.

The three injured men and five women were taken to local hospitals, where one is in critical condition. after a series of tweets from the Minneapolis Police Department. The other wounded had non-life threatening injuries.

The police say there is no active threat after a tweet.

Police spokesman John Elder said KMSP-TV The shooting resulted from an argument between two men in a crowd.

“”[Officers] watched numerous other people running around, “Elder told the station.” It was a very chaotic scene. The officers dealt with a number of people who had been shot and were lying on the ground. “
