The state of California updated its plans on Friday to allow the reopening of outdoor events in stadiums, stadiums, and theme parks to begin April 1st.
Sports facilities and amusement parks will reopen with reduced capacity, depending on the infection rate at the district level. The California Department of Health released its Blueprint for a Safer Economy Guidelines from last August that have since mandated the opening and closing of businesses at the county level.
For counties in the state’s most restrictive Purple Tier region, outdoor sports and live performance are limited to a maximum of 100 people, and participants must live in the region. Reservations are required and concession sales are not available. A. CDPH statement said. The number of visitors is limited to 20% in the red level and 33% in the orange. Both can welcome visitors from the state.
A similar standard is used for amusement parks. Venues in the Red Tier can reopen at 15% capacity, but more domestic guests will be allowed to visit if infection rates drop, the CDPH said. Masks are still required for the participants.
“With significantly lower case rates and hospitalizations, the introduction of three highly potent vaccines, and targeted efforts to vaccinate the most vulnerable populations, California can gradually and safely bring back more activities, especially those that take place outdoors and where consistent masking is possible.” California Health and Human Services Secretary Mark Ghaly said, “Despite these changes, California maintains some of the most robust public health protocols in the country.”
From now, 87% of CaliforniansAbout 35 million people fall into the state’s Purple Tier, as do many of the state’s best amusement parks. Disneyland Resort and California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Sea World, and Universal Studios Hollywood are all located in the Purple Tier Counties of Southern California.
However, cases in Los Angeles County, the state’s most populous area, have been falling since their peak in early January. The county could enter the Red Tier next week. CDPH said but it has to stay there for two weeks before restrictions are relaxed.
