Let the market work
Companies face a compromise between security and customer care. If they don’t need vaccination records, they may be at risk of infection. However, when companies need vaccination records, they block customers who haven’t received any shots.
It is not obvious which policy is the right one. More concert-goers can purchase tickets if they are guaranteed that other attendees will be vaccinated, but tennis players may not require such a requirement due to their lower risk of developing the disease. Which policy is optimal for which industry depends on the specifics of the process.
