Dat Dog Seeks Franchisees in Florida

Dat Dog, a New Orleans staple that specializes in gourmet hot dogs and sausages, plans to expand beyond its four Louisiana locations and bring its unique menu to markets across Florida. The brand explicitly addresses Tampa, St. Petersburg, Fort Myers, and Naples. It is looking for local franchisees to bring Dat Dog to these markets.

Dat Dog’s expansion is part of CEO Paul G. Tuennerman’s growth strategy for the brand across the South. Tuennerman, a former manager of Raising Cane’s, has a lot of experience building a restaurant brand and is prepared to take Dat Dog to new heights.

Founded in 2011, Dat Dog is a New Orleans culinary institution with an avid fan base, offering a selection of gourmet sausages, beef hot dogs, french fries, tater tots, premium spirits, and a selection of local artisanal beers in colorful, unpolished surroundings. Dat Dog also has vegetarian and vegan options for most lifestyle options. With 30 toppings at no extra charge – including funky options like blackberry sauce, guacamole, chipotle mayo, and lobster etouffee – customers have the freedom to create their own culinary masterpiece.

“This isn’t your father’s hot dog stand,” said Tuennerman. “We encourage every guest to do it themselves, starting with our range of sausages and hot dogs. You can choose everything from alligator, lobster or duck sausages to vegetable-based, spicy chipotle sausages or traditional all-beef frankfurters, and decorate your creation with one of our 30 toppings. You can come every day and create a completely different gourmet masterpiece every time. “

Dat Dog seeks qualified franchisees who want to become part of a culture and brand that is exciting, creative, and unique. Tuennerman hopes to open six locations along the west coast of Florida.

“We are excited to bring our energetic culture and experimental menu to our Florida communities,” added Tuennerman. “We believe the residents of these areas would value Dat Dog as a place where they not only enjoy great food but also have fun creating it.”

Including a $ 50,000 franchise fee, the total investment required to start a Dat Dog franchise is between $ 992,000 and $ 2,800,000.
