Past fantasy prospects

Robinson enters his fourth season as a sleeper to break out in the face of uncertain Tyreek Hill availability, while Sammy Watkins’ foot story is another reason Robinson may need to step up as a starter. The selection for the 2016 fourth round in Florida was largely a bust in the NFL. She struggled to hold her own against the mediocre Chris Conley while otherwise posting the Pedestrian Production. But he won’t turn 25 until September, and his familiarity with the Chiefs system is important as the team may be dependent on Watkins and rookie Mecole Hardman from the second round. At PPR in particular, Robinson is a late flyer who can be considered in any format with 12 or more teams.

Robinson, who was elected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, had no offensive stats in his first season with the Chiefs. His playing time soared in his sophomore year with Kansas City after the departure of Jeremy Maclin when Robinson received the second most snapshots of all wide receivers behind Tyreek Hill (586). Unfortunately, the increased playing time only resulted in 21 catches at 39 targets for 212 yards for the season. While the move to Patrick Mahomes, with whom Robinson showed chemistry in preseason 2017, could prove fruitful for year three, this off-season the team added Sammy Watkins and fed numerous mouths (Hill, Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt ), who is already on the roster, dampens the possibility of a breakout season for Robinson.

Robinson worked almost exclusively as a rookie in special teams and only saw five snapshots on the offensive throughout the season. He doesn’t take the second leg into account and minimizes the potential value to him as a second year player. The 22-year-old’s role is unlikely to increase in 2017 unless he proves something he couldn’t do last year and he may have to fight for a roster spot outside of training camp.

While the rookie Wideout owns many of the tools of a successful wide receiver, character issues resulted in the Chiefs falling in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Given that the team behind Jeremy Maclin doesn’t have a clear # 2 option, the rookie’s strong camp could leave him battling for snaps on Sundays. However, he must keep things under control outside of the field if he is to contribute.
