Elation Hypercar Partners With Vaughtons, The Luxury British Auto Insignia Brand.

Vaughton’s Elation hypercar badge

It’s an unusual partnership: a company that Exhilaration hypercar Brand that will hit the market in two years and the other, Vaughtons, a 202 year old British car brand. But both design ideas and the philosophies of the CEOs go well together.

The Elation Hypercar brand has two models so far: the Elation Freedom, the first high-speed, high-end electric vehicle starting at $ 2,000,000, and the second, the Elation Iconic, with a combustion engine starting at $ 2,300,000. For both, Vaughtons created a badge that will be on and in the Elation hypercar models.

Vaughtons is no stranger to high-end customers. During its 202-year history, the UK Parliament and Royal Family have called on the Vaughtons to make ornate regalia. White Star Lines commissioned them to produce the plaques for the first-class suites on the Titanic. For 130 years, the winners of the English Football League wore medals made by them. When Rolls-Royce needed its first badges and hood ornaments, Vaughtons were their only choice.

So, given Elation Hypercars’ breakthrough technology and the Vaughtons history, it was not surprising that a partnership was formed. JustLuxe recently communicated with Carlos Satulovsky, CEO and founder of Elation Hypercars, and Nick Hobbis, CEO of Vaughtons, about the new partnership and its importance for the industries and products.

JustLuxe: Carlos, why did you choose Vaughtons as your partner?

Vaughtons – From a 1902 British engine catalog

Carlos: We selected Vaughtons, the iconic jewelry company known for its Olympic gold medals and bespoke insignia, to artfully craft our logos. The side plaques of the Freedom, known as the Badge of Freedom, as well as emblems on the front and back are milled from aluminum. These badges are optionally available in 18k gold, sterling silver and platinum for all customers, handcrafted by Vaughton’s master jewelers.

Elation customers can upgrade the interior switches of their Freedom with, among other things, car jewelry made of mother-of-pearl, platinum, multilayered solid gold sash jewels; All of this is carefully incorporated by Vaughton’s skilled master jewelers. With over 200 years of experience as the premier medals and insignia atelier in the UK, Vaughtons customers can rest assured that their badges are made from the finest materials available.

Through our partnership, the Vaughtons team of master jewelers will transfer their centuries of bravery to the body of Elation Freedom. Each badge will be a spectacular piece of jewelry attached to a luxurious, mechanical genius.

JustLuxe: And when it comes to the new Vaughtons partnership with Elation, Nick explains how it came about?

Nick Hobbis, Vaughtons General Manager

Nick: It seemed pretty out of the blue, but what a wonderful surprise it was! Carlos sent an email through our website asking for a response and we always try to get back to people as soon as possible. So we arranged a 1 hour zoom call. We ended up talking for about 3 hours. I explained we are now 202 years old. The company originally started out as a maker of bespoke medals. Howard Vaughtons was a professional footballer and still holds the record for most goals in an international match. When the English Football League needed medals for the end-of-season presentation, he stepped forward and offered his services. We are still producing these medals today, 130 years later.

In addition, our first automotive customer was Rolls Royce. When RR was founded in 1908 they needed a badge supplier and we were the only company able to supply such high quality parts. Since then we have supplied Bentley Motors, Aston Martin, Jensen, Mini, MG, Lotus, McLaren and others.

JustLuxe: So, Nick, Vaughtons will be working with Elation Hypercar customers to design bespoke cabs and other bespoke surfaces for the Freedom. Walk us through how this process works and some of the options.

Nick: This is a very special part of what Elation wants to offer customers. Carlos’ goal is to offer unlimited customization options and together we will work to make it happen. It will be a special service. We want to take the customer on a journey through the manufacture of their car. Carlos leads all the way and I stand in the background to offer my technical support when it comes to bespoke finishes. It will be exciting when we discuss some of the possibilities. Here are some questions we will hopefully ask and answer customers:

Would you appreciate solid gold exterior badges? A diamond-studded starter button? Hand-engraved rocker switches? Made-to-measure luggage? Questions like these enable a transfer of inspiration: ideas from Elation customers that can be transferred directly to us and then to the car they buy. A rarity on all sides, a win / win too.
