Giancarlo Giannini as René Mathis wears a Hamilton Khaki Field watch in the film Quantum of comfort (2008).
The Hamilton watch in the movie is the Hamilton Khaki Field H684410 quartz version, ref.number H68411553 (or H68411253, read the WUS forum discussion). This model is no longer available and currently the model number H70455553 Automatic is most similar in design.
In some pictures from the movie, the case looks more like a titanium case, or at least a matte steel case as seen on the aforementioned quartz watch, and isn’t as shiny as the now common (brushed) steel case.
The dial shows 12 and 24 hour markers and has a date window at the 3 o’clock position.
The watch has a brown leather strap with white stitching, currently available under ref. H6007041041.
The good looking watch has military-inspired features. The bold appearance, a sturdy and sturdy case and strap, and a movement with an 80-hour power reserve.
René Mathis is wearing the watch in his villa in Italy when Bond visits Mathis to ask him to go to South America. The beautiful location is Villa Le Torre, Talamone in southern Tuscany, Italy.
This Hamilton Khaki Quartz watch is no longer available, but the very similar (but automatic) Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic H70455553 watch is available at Hamilton ($ 575) or at JomaShop for $ 399 (Retail price, January 2021) or you can search for new and old Hamilton Khaki Field watches on eBay.
