India coronavirus: ‘My city is under siege from Covid’

BBC’s Vikas Pandey has called Delhi home for more than a decade – but life in the Indian capital has changed beyond recognition due to a deadly second wave of Covid-19 infections.

For more than a month, people have been desperately trying to find help for their loved ones due to acute shortages of hospital beds, essential medicines and oxygen. But thousands have died, many without the treatment they needed.

Here Vikas Pandey and his colleague Anshul Verma take us on a journey through the city and the daily struggle for medical care, oxygen bottles and even a place in a crematorium.
