“The Masked Singer” Host Nick Cannon has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 40-year-old comedian is taking a break from hosting the Fox reality competition while quarantining and recovering from coronavirus. diversity first reported Wednesday. Stephen Elmore, Cannon’s representative, endorsed the report TODAY to the US.
Niecy Nash will host Cannon during the fifth season of The Masked Singer, which premieres in March with “More Legends, Bigger Spectacles, Crazy Surprises.” Instagram in January. Production is scheduled to begin on Thursday.
Cannon is expected to return to hosting duties later in the season, but “The Masked Singer” should be in good hands by then. Previously, Nash was a guest discussant on the crowned show last season LeAnn Rimes as champion in December.
