NOMOO to Open in West Hollywood

A new colorful neighborhood burger joint is located on Melrose Avenue with the aim of changing the way people think about plant-based foods and raising awareness of the impact a restaurant has on the planet, both through the operator and the consumer. NOMOO, proud to be “a better kind of burger joint,” opens this winter in West Hollywood, serving guests plant-based cuisine paired with vibrant decor, convivial energy and a serious, do-it-yourself attitude.

The concept was developed by serial entrepreneur and burger lover George Montagu Brown, who previously opened The Gardens Hotel – a luxury eco-resort in Costa Rica with an on-site restaurant and biodynamic garden. NOMOO builds on these sustainable practices that are framed by a quick lens and a greater determination to change the way people eat.

“What we learned from opening in Costa Rica taught us how a restaurant can make a difference in its community,” said Brown. “Our goal at NOMOO is to apply that thinking and change the way an entire industry affects its community and more.” the world.”

NOMOO opens with the slogan “Try it to Believe” and offer a limited selection of plant-based fast food staples reinterpreted for the modern dinner set. A classic burger that has been made for two years is enhanced by the addition of house cucumber, NOMOO Secret Sauce, tomato, butter salad and American “cheeze”. A Nashville Hot ‘Chick’n’ is a fermented seitan mixture soaked in coconut milk that is breaded twice and topped with a spicy five-spice sauce that is reminiscent of the down. All burgers / sandwiches come on a vegan brioche bun that was developed in collaboration with the Rockenwagner bakery, which is delivered daily. The sides are the epitome: French fries, which are served with a selection of unique dipping sauces such as real “cheeze” sauce or avocado ranch and obscure: a Caesar salad with miso instead of anchovies to add to the presence of umami guarantee. Rarely for a plant-based concept, NOMOO is also a soy-free establishment, with the exception of burger patties from Impossible Burger. Repl For every burger experience, the concept also offers homemade milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches and soft serve with an 18-hour homemade cashew milk in seasonally changing flavors.

“We want guests at NOMOO to have it all – all the taste and choice – no compromise,” said Brown. “If you’ve come up with the best parts of your favorite burger joint, but without the environmental impact, NOMOO is just that.” A plant-based dream come true. “

Located in the former location of the first Johnny Rockets, NOMOO represents a complete shift in culinary understanding while recognizing the iconic space it is in. NOMOO is meant to be a light-hearted and entertaining travel destination with culinary intent and is futuristic and nostalgic. Designed by Studio Unltd. (Otium, The Rose Café) The room will retain its classic diner charm with an open kitchen and bar made of white oak. It also bounces back artwork, sleek seating, and custom neon lighting reminiscent of a retro Americana drive through. The branding was created by Faust Levito – known for her work with Bavel and Felix – and developed to give guests with “good times” a sense of past meal times and moods. The 1,500 square meter space offers 13 seats inside and 40 seats on a sun-drenched outdoor terrace, ideal for shoppers and visitors to the busy district as well as for locals of all ages.
