Oprah Winfrey helps fans get back on their feet after a tough year with their upcoming virtual event – and jump forward.
Winfrey teamed up again WW (formerly Weight Watchers) for the 90-minute “Your Life in Focus: Spring Forward Stronger” event on May 8th Mother’s Day, USA TODAY can reveal exclusive.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about resilience lately,” says Winfrey. “And sometimes people think resilience is like rebounding like you’re some kind of nerf ball. But it’s really about absorbing the difficult moments, knowing that they changed you, but still moving forward with that Determination to make it. ” .
“Jumping forward is about resilience and about being brave enough to envision your healthiest and best life, even if you are still digesting everything we’ve seen this year,” says Winfrey.
Winfrey at the free and interactive event includes Drew Barrymore with multiple hyphens as the two discuss what they’ve learned over the past year about resilience and Barrymore’s experience as a mother of two: Olive, 8, and Frankie, 7. Therapist and host of the podcast “Im Licht” Dr. Anita Phillips will also sit down with Winfrey at the upcoming event.

Winfrey and WW gave the go-ahead beforehand quarterly series of events with February Virtual event “Be the love you need”, Recruit celebrity friends Jennifer Garner, Ciara, Kym Whitley and James Corden talk about grace, present life, and vulnerability.
The virtual series of events builds on the dynamics of Winfrey’s “Oprah’s Vision 2020: Your Life in Focus” Tour, The event took place in nine cities and offered a full day of wellness talks. The tour ended just before the coronavirus pandemic outbreak last March.
The media mogul and author has apparently made resilience a part of her 2021 mission Bomb interview with Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry to her upcoming sitting down with Elliot Page, Premiere Friday. Winfrey’s new book “What Happened To You?” The program, which hit shelves Tuesday, also seeks to remain resilient in the midst of trauma by examining the behavior of other people and ourselves through stories from Winfrey’s past.
Co-author Dr. Bruce Perry, psychiatrist and Senior Fellow of the Child Trauma Academy, will take Winfrey on a five-day virtual tour through May 3rd to talk about the new project. The star-studded guest list includes Gayle King and celebrity couple Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell.
