The GAMING hardware and fintech company Razer will recruit around 1,000 jobs for its new headquarters in Southeast Asia at the One-North Technology Technology Park in Singapore.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tan Min-Liang wrote about the decision in a LinkedIn post on Monday morning. However, it’s unclear what type of positions Razer is looking to fill and whether they are contract, temporary, or full-time positions.
The company’s website listed 68 Singapore-based open positions, including marketing, software development, peripheral development and Razer Gold, the group’s virtual credit business. Of those positions, 57 were hired in January. Nor did Mr. Tan mention the recruitment schedule. Razer declined to comment.
The Hong Kong-listed company first announced plans for its regional headquarters in December 2018. The S $ 100 million building was to include 19,300 square feet of office space, research and development laboratories, and design studios on seven floors.

Boustead Projects’ joint venture company is the developer of the project. Echo Base, a Mr Tan-backed startup looking to incorporate next-generation technology into property developments, has announced it will also be involved in the project.
Razer currently has an office in Singapore’s Chai Chee Industrial Area. The new One North headquarters was originally scheduled to be ready for occupancy by mid-2020, but the official opening has been postponed to the second quarter of this year.
The company’s iconic three-headed snake logo was affixed to the front of the building on Sunday, Mr Tan’s LinkedIn update said. The exterior of the headquarters will feature Razer’s Chroma lighting technology.
