Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Strokes Rock Vaccinated New Yorkers In June : NPR

A live music world that has been showing signs of life in the past few weeks is going full steam ahead in New York City this month. No sooner did Mayor Bill de Blasio announce advance plans for. at a festive concert Held in Central Park on August 8, when three notable engagements surfaced in a row: Bruce Springsteen returned to Broadway, the Foo Fighters opened Madison Square Garden, and the Strokes performed at Irving Plaza in June.

Springsteen is reviving its popular Springsteen on Broadway show on Saturday, June 26th at the St. James Theater, with additional shows through September 4th.

The Foo Fighters were announced at Madison Square Garden this morning as the first band since March 2020. The band will perform in front of a fully vaccinated audience on June 20 – the first full capacity show in the historic arena in more than 460 days.

And at Irving Plaza, a more intimate venue, fashionable New York based band The Strokes will play to a fully vaccinated audience this Saturday, June 12, in a concert designed to raise funds for Maya Wiley’s mayoral campaign. Tickets for the event go on sale this afternoon at 12 noon
