These 20 stocks performed the best over the first 100 days of Biden’s presidency

Joe Biden had a spectacular run – especially on the stock market. Friday was his 100th day in office.

During the new president’s first 100 days in office, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was

rose 8.6% and the S&P 500 index

advanced 8.5%.

Best performance in the S&P 500

Here are the 20 stocks in the S&P 500 that have seen the highest total returns (with dividends reinvested) since Biden took office on Jan. 20. A second column shows the returns since election day (November 3, 2020):

Those are excellent returns. From November 3, the S&P 500 rose 24.1% through April 30.

By the end of Election Day, the S&P 500 had recovered 51% from its coronavirus pandemic low on March 23, 2020. However, by 2020 it had only increased by 4%.

Hence, some of the companies on this list must be considered recovery games, especially retailers like Gap Inc.

fell 17% during Biden’s first 100 days, the fifth worst performance on the Nasdaq-100. The worst performance on the Nasdaq-100 during Biden’s first 100 days was Peloton Interactive Inc.

that was a decrease of 37%.
